Jeremias Wollschlaeger manages a wide portfolio of patent prosecution cases that include semiconductor technology, medical technology, automotive engineering, sensor technology and software and data processing. An important aspect of his work concerns conducting validity proceedings before the relevant patent offices, national courts and the UPC. He also prepares expert reports on freedom to operate, legal validity and infringement.
He attended a high school in Portland, Oregon for one year, an experience which sparked his keen interest in maintaining ties with the United States and his later involvement with the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). He is especially interested in communicating the intricacies of European patent law and converting US-specific concepts into practical strategies.
He studied physics at RWTH Aachen University and completed his thesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (ILT). He subsequently worked at the Institute for Welding and Joining Technology at RWTH Aachen University.
