Isabel Tomerius, who holds her doctorate in chemistry, advises clients mainly in the fields of chemistry and biochemistry, laboratory and medical technology, life science, mechanics and optics.

She advises and represents clients in patent and utility model grant procedures before the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as in opposition, appeal, infringement, nullity and cancellation proceedings before the relevant specialist courts and tribunals. Isabel prepares expert analyses and opinions on technical and legal issues, including freedom-to-operate (FTO). She also advises on licensing agreements and employee invention law. Her expertise covers trademark and design matters in which she represents clients before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO).
