M.Sc. Forensic Epigenetics and Molecular Biology

Asim studied Biomedical Engineering, Forensic Epigenetics and Molecular Biology. He has diverse work experience as a scientific researcher in Epigenetics, Neurobiology, Biochemistry and Structural Biology at ETH Zurich, University of Zurich and Friedrich Miescher Institute (FMI) in Basel.

His scientific work at ETH Zurich includes studying adverse effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) on the reproductive system. At the University of Zurich, he studied transgenerational epigenetic inheritance of molecular traits in early life trauma and at the FMI, he contributed in elucidating molecular and structural mechanisms of DNA replication initiation.
