Employee Invention Law

The law on employee inventions affords every inventor of a service invention as a matter of principle the right to file a patent application. However, an employer is entitled claim an employee invention, although the legislation obliges him to remunerate the employee. We at Maiwald have devised simplified schemes for calculating employee remuneration. We can help in calculating the remuneration in specific cases, can mediate between employers and employees where there are differences of opinion, when required conduct arbitration proceedings before the appropriate arbitration panel in accordance with the law on employee inventions and when necessary represent clients before the ordinary courts.
