We are delighted to congratulate Iris Müller and Matthias Kreuz on passing the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) and being entered on the list of European Patent Attorneys.
Iris Müller is a patent attorney at Maiwald focusing on intellectual property protection in biochemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. She has particular expertise in stem cell and cancer research, epigenetics and genome engineering. Her scientific career includes a PhD at the University of Copenhagen and research work at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York; she has presented and published her findings at international conferences and in peer‑reviewed journals.
Matthias Kreuz primarily advises clients on drafting patent applications and responding to office actions before the EPO and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office. His technical focus lies in communications engineering, especially wireless communication, optics and internet protocols, as well as image recognition and artificial intelligence, and classical areas such as sensor systems and energy storage technologies. He studied electrical and information engineering at the Technical University of Munich and gained practical experience in powertrain development at BMW M.
