Drawing on his extensive knowledge in the areas of biochemistry and organic chemistry, Lukas advises and supports companies and universities in the fields of pharmaceuticals and chemistry with regard to patent prosecution, oppositions and appeal proceedings in Germany and Europe. While working on his master's degree, he investigated among other things the functionalization of nitrogen heterocyclic compounds using zinc bases. His subsequent doctoral research concerned asymmetric transition metal catalysis, in the course of which he developed a novel synthesis method for enantioselective silylation of allylic substrates. His research results were published in numerous scientific papers.
