MAIinsight issue 5 is out now!

With this edition we proudly celebrate the one‑year anniversary of MAIinsight!

This newest volume brings you articles on similarities and differences between current case law at the UPC (UPC_CoA_528/2024 and UPC_CoA_529/2024; Amgen v Sanofi) and established EPO practice with regard to inventive step.

Issue 5 also has updates on long arm jurisdiction and progressing EU legislation on plants generated by new genomic techniques (NGT).

Additionally, MAIinsight Issue 5 takes a look at the EPO’s handling of plausibility of diagnostic inventions and the strategic impact of withdrawing consent with the text for grant during opposition and appeal proceedings.
