Maiwald appoints Dr Julia Mössinger as partner

Maiwald, one of Germany’s leading intellectual property law firms, has appointed Dr Julia Mössinger as partner with effect from 1 March 2023.

Julia Mössinger studied biology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, the Ruprecht-Karl University of Heidelberg and the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her doctorate in the field of protein biochemistry and cell biology at the Free University of Berlin. She completed her as patent attorney studies at the FernUniversität Hagen in 2015. In the same year, she was admitted as a German patent attorney, and the following year was admitted as a European patent attorney.

After training as a patent attorney and working for three years as a patent attorney with a Munich IP firm, Julia Mössinger joined Maiwald as a patent attorney in 2018. Her main focus is on national and international intellectual property law, in particular in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, whereby her core areas of expertise are protein biochemistry, lipid biochemistry, biophysics and cell biology. Julia Mössinger advises national and international clients on a wide range of matters including German and European patent granting proceedings, opposition proceedings, patent litigation and SPC proceedings.
