As a patent attorney at Maiwald, Kerstin Wolff specialises in intellectual property rights within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, particularly in relation to innovative biotechnological developments such as genome editing, antisense oligonucleotides, plant-related applications and CAR-T cell therapies.

Kerstin Wolff studied molecular and microbiology, specialising in antibiotic resistance and redox regulation in mycobacteria. As a postdoctoral scholar, Kerstin Wolff initially worked on redox homeostasis and the redox stress response in mycobacteria. She later worked as an associate scientist/postdoctoral fellow in the development of antibiotics against staphylococci, with a particular focus on biofilms and wall teichoic acid.
