The seventh issue of MAIinsight is here!

A new issue of MAIinsight is out!

This time, we offer insights into the interpretation of patent claims and the requirements for adapting the description in proceedings before the EPO, with a particular focus on the implementation of decision G 1/24 and the potential implications of the pending referrals G 1/25 and G 1/26. The issue also includes comparisons between patent procedures in China and Europe, as well as between the Austrian provisions on employee inventions and the German Employee Inventions Act. In addition, this latest issue of MAIinsight addresses unfair competition law and the question of where freedom to imitate ends. Finally, the issue provides an introduction to the protection of intellectual property in the plant sector in Europe, as well as a detailed examination of digitalization and information security — including practical approaches for German intellectual property law firms to implement data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance in a holistic manner.
