{"id":48309,"date":"2025-04-09T10:59:21","date_gmt":"2025-04-09T08:59:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.maiwald.eu\/veranstaltungen\/joint-symposium-with-oblon-in-tokyo-on-may-20-2025\/"},"modified":"2025-06-04T13:12:40","modified_gmt":"2025-06-04T11:12:40","slug":"joint-symposium-with-oblon-in-tokyo-on-may-20-2025","status":"publish","type":"veranstaltungen","link":"https:\/\/www.maiwald.eu\/ko\/events\/joint-symposium-with-oblon-in-tokyo-on-may-20-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Joint symposium with Oblon in Tokyo on May 20, 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Oblon and Maiwald firms were pleased to host a complimentary joint international symposium on:<br><strong>U.S. and European Patent Practice: Important Aspects for Practitioners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the 2025 joint symposium, selected current aspects of protecting innovations in the U.S. and Europe were examined, considering both pre- and post-grant perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In particular, the symposium addressed the following important topics for practitioners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>News from the Unified Patent Court: Overview of recent case law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Machine learning model deployment invention \u2013 a case study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EPO Enlarged Board of Appeal decision on prior art status of commercial products \u2013 G 1\/23<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U.S. practice regarding beta versions of software as prior art and the U.S. perspective on G 1\/23-like cases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open-ended ranges and parameters at the EPO \u2013 is the claim reproducible or not?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Claiming and disclosing open-ended ranges from the U.S. perspective<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additional information was made available in the official announcements at:<br><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oblon.com\/joint-symposium-on-us-and-european-patent-practice-important-aspects-for-practitioners-spring-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.oblon.com\/joint-symposium-on-us-and-european-patent-practice-important-aspects-for-practitioners-spring-2025<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presentations were held in Japanese or English, with translation from English into Japanese provided.
