Dr Yun-Suk Jang
Chemist
Yun-Suk Jang is a patent attorney trainee at Maiwald. With in-depth knowledge in the fields of biochemistry and chemistry, he provides support and advice to universities and companies in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields on patent applications as well as on opposition and appeal proceedings in Germany and Europe.
While working on his doctorate, Yun-Suk Jang researched asymmetric transition metal catalysis systems for synthesizing chiral molecules, which work enabled him to build up specialist expertise in organometallic chemistry. Yun-Suk Jang's scientific results have been published in numerous high-impact journals and presented at international conferences in Korea, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
During his earlier studies in England, South Korea and Munich, Yun-Suk Jang carried out research work on drug delivery systems, natural product syntheses and plastic explosives.
