Dr Özden Karaca-Böhme
Özden Karaca-Böhme is currently patent attorney trainee at Maiwald. She supports clients in obtaining patent protection for their inventions, and in maintaining, defending and enforcing the acquired IP rights.
In the course of her doctorate and during research periods at the Cardiff University, she investigated the potential of N-heterocylic carbene complexes in homogenous catalysis and in anticancer therapy. Her fields of specialization comprise food technology, pharmaceuticals and chemistry.
Özden is first author of several scientific publications in the areas of organometallic chemistry, homogeneous catalysis and medicinal chemistry. Parts of her research results have further been published at international conferences she attended in France and Brazil.
