While there are similarities, applicants for U.S. and European patents need to be aware of the specific characteristics and most recent developments in each system in order to achieve the best results. In particular, the symposium will address the following important topics for today\u2019s practitioners:  <\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The USPTO&#8217;s &#8220;obviousness&#8221; approach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessment of Inventive Step at the EPO and Beyond<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recent PTO Developments in the U.S. \u2013 News and Surprises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An Update from the Unified Patent Court\u2014Statistics and Selected Case Law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U.S. claim construction\u2014always a matter of interpretation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EPO Claim Interpretation Following G 1\/24 and the New Referral G 1\/26<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presentations will be held in English, and translation from English into Korean will be provided.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Drinks and hors d\u2019oeuvres will be served at a casual reception following the symposium.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please register directly on this website.
