{"id":59286,"date":"2026-10-16T09:51:30","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T07:51:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.maiwald.eu\/?post_type=veranstaltungen&#038;p=59286"},"modified":"2026-10-16T10:06:36","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T08:06:36","slug":"maiwald-and-oblon-joint-symposium-korea","status":"publish","type":"veranstaltungen","link":"https:\/\/www.maiwald.eu\/cn\/veranstaltungen\/maiwald-and-oblon-joint-symposium-korea\/","title":{"rendered":"Maiwald and Oblon Joint Symposium Korea"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Oblon and Maiwald firms are pleased to invite you to a <em>complimentary<\/em> joint international symposium on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>U.S. and European Patent Practice \u2013 Important Aspects for Practitioners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At this joint symposium, we will together examine selected current aspects of IP practice related to prosecuting applications and enforcing patents in the U.S. and in Europe.&nbsp; While similarities exist, applicants for U.S. and European patents need to be aware of the peculiarities and most recent developments in each system in order to achieve the best results.&nbsp; In particular, the symposium will address the following important topics for today\u2019s practitioners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Obviousness approach of the USPTO<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inventive step assessment at the EPO and beyond<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recent PTO developments in the U.S. \u2013 news and surprises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An update from the Unified Patent Court \u2013 statistics and selected case law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U.S. claim construction \u2013 always a matter of interpretation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>EPO claim interpretation after G 1\/24 and the new referral G 1\/26<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presentations will be held in English, and translation from English into Korean will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Drinks and hors d\u2019oeuvres will be provided at a casual reception following the symposium.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please register directly on this website.
