On October 6, 2022 Maiwald and Oblon again jointly organised an international symposium on US and European patent practice. This year, it was possible to hold the Symposium as a face-to-face event which brought together around 30 participants in Tokyo. Apart from that, the attendees also took advantage of the opportunity to take part in the event online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium presented the latest developments and current aspects of IP practice in the US and Europe. In particular, the following topics were discussed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court in EP \u2013 are you prepared?<\/li>
  2. Eligible subject matter\u2013 an update from a U.S. perspective<\/li>
  3. Support, Amendments, and enablement \u2013 EP and US perspectives<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    We would like to thank all the attendees, speakers and our friends and colleagues from Oblon for making our symposium again a great success.
