On August 1, 2019, Maiwald, one of the leading intellectual property law firms in Germany, named Stefan Bianchin as Partner.
Stefan Bianchin studied physical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and completed his law studies at the University of Augsburg in 2005. He was admitted to the bar in 2007 and admitted as a European Patent Attorney and Specialist Attorney for Intellectual Property in 2013.
Stefan Bianchin has many years of experience in national and international patent and utility model infringement cases as well as in revocation, opposition and cancellation proceedings. His double qualification as an attorney at law and European patent attorney enables him to understand not only the legal but also the technical aspects of a case in its entirety. This makes Stefan Bianchin particularly well suited to coordinating infringement and legal validity proceedings. Since 2017 Stefan Bianchin has been a lecturer in patent law for engineers at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. He has been working for Maiwald since 2019.
“We are pleased to be able to strengthen both our engineering team and the legal department with Stefan. With his double qualification, he contributes significantly to the strong growth of our firm in these two areas. We wish Stefan all the best in his new position,” says Dr Martin Huenges, a partner at Maiwald.
